3 Fun Activities to do When Quarantining at Home

In this year of 2020, we have taken on a lot of challenges that we could have never predicted. COVID-19 has affected everyone in many different ways. Social distancing, mask wearing, and working from home, are just a few of the guidelines and factors that have taken place due to the virus outbreak. Many activities that we used to complete with friends and family, now must take place inside our homes. Although working and studying from home is a great privilege that some have, mental and physical health have been heavily affected to many, and people are beginning to feel stressed, restless, and bored by being stuck inside all day. I even found that after a few months of sitting at home, I was not longer satisfied by sitting on the couch and flying through a few Netflix shows. So, to combat this, I decided to take on some fun activities that kept me busy, and hopefully will help keep you busy during these times.


Grab the Flour and Lets Bake!



Breads, pastas, cookies, pastries, cakes, the list goes on! Take being home as an opportunity to utilize the kitchen. Make those recipes that you have dying to make and never could because you did not have the time. Baking is a great activity to get all members of the family up and into one space of the house.  


Find What you Love and Learn More



During my quarantine, I began to read more about topics that I loved. I have always wanted to learn more about investing, so I ordered about to learn more about that topic. Find something that you love or want to learn more about and take this time to read about it!


Move Your Body



Just because gyms are closed does not mean you need to stop your physical exercise. Yoga, hiking, walking, meditating, dancing, are all forms of physical health that can help your body and mind through these times. Grab your mask and explore local trails around your outdoor community. Ride that bike that has been sitting in your garage! The options are endless.



These three activities have helped my journey in quarantine to be exciting and fun. Hopefully they inspire you to get up and get moving around the house too.
